This is untrue.

DWL-900AP and DWL-900AP+ both support up to 12vDC.

The DWL-900AP+ will support 15-20vDC, however, its been suggested to me,
to keep it under 15vDC just to be safe (I've heard of them running at
18vDC for 24 hours as a test).

They have onboard voltage regulators and do well. The DWL-900AP's work
from 5-12vDC, DWL-900AP+'s work from 5-20vDC (or possibly higher, but I'm
not sure on specifics).

DWL-810 will ONLY support 5vDC. 6vDC will kill it!

DWL-800AP+, I'm interested to know if this one has onboard voltage
regulation and what the input range is.

Orinoco RG's, support 9-14vDC and will run AP-500 firmware.

WET11's support 5-12vDC, don't put more than 12 or 12.5vDC into them,
you'll fry a cap like I did (although it still works, it just smoked and
smelt bad for a bit when I put a 13.5vDC unregulated (15.8vDC output)
power supply on the unit).

Phoebe AP's will only operate at almost exactly 3.3vDC. 3.0 is not
enough, 4.5 is too much (they boot, but don't operate properly at 4.5vDC).

Smartbridges require about 12v-24vDC with typical operation suggested
between 12-18vDC. Plus they have native PoE support (reverse polarity
from what I'm normally used to however).

We usually build passive PoE splitters and power units with 5-12vDC PS's,
so long as they have onboard voltage regulation.

On some of our bigger POP's, with Orinoco RG's + YDI Amp or AP-200's with
YDI amp, we have needed to put 15-17.5vDC into the cat-5 runs in order to
keep them operating under a load. These are unusually long cat-5 runs of
150-200' though.

YDI amps are rated for 11-14vDC and I'd not suggest exceeding those
voltages unless you know exactly what you are doing (you may break
something and have to eat the cost).

I'm sure I left out some specs, don't have them all in my head right now.
