I've got a 2.4 GHz 802.11 radio and a YDI 2.4 GHz amp at a mountaintop location which appear to be contributing to an intermod problem. When the 2.4 GHz link is transmitting, interference results on the input to a 440 MHz repeater at the same site with a buzzing quality that reflects the keying duty cycle.
The good news is that it happens to be my own 440 MHz repeater that is receiving the interference. Has anyone else had problems with 2.4 GHz amps contributing to intermod? I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the only case of its kind... wireless ISPs should contemplate the consequences of not knowing if this is occuring. Some VHF and UHF users might not be as forgiving. Once I get a chance to go up and look at this in person, I'll post more details about what I discover. In the meantime, if anyone has had this issue before I'd like to hear about it to see how it compares to what I'm seeing.
