Hi Matt, I work for CompuMentor, a nonprofit in SF that provides various free and low-cost technical services to other nonprofits. One of our programs, DiscounTech, includes the donation of Cisco switches and other networking hardware to nonprofit organizations. Maybe you're aware of this resource and the nonprofit you're working with isn't eligible or something. But if you haven't tried this avenue, you should check it out: http://www.techsoup.org/DiscounTech/Category.asp?catalog_name=TechSoupMain&c ategory_name=Cisco&Page=1
To bring this post back on-topic, this donation program includes Cisco wireless networking equipment as well. Such as a Cisco Aironet Access Point for $40. There are certain restrictions, and there is a small admin fee. But it's a really good bet for a lot of nonprofit organizations. Here are the restrictions. http://www.techsoup.org/DiscounTech/restrictions.asp#cisco Zac > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Matt Peterson > Sent: Thursday, November 20, 2003 5:33 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [BAWUG] OT: Looking for switch donations to non-profit housing > > > I apologize for the off-topic post, but I'm not getting leads from my > usual suspects. > > I'm working with a few non-profit housing groups in West Oakland (where > I live).
