JohnnyO...we need to know who any providers are around you, addresses, towns served, etc. It sounds like you have a viable staging area. We need to work to make sure we are ready to help when this gets done beating you up. What are your coordinates or at least the street address. How can we contact you best? Do you have access to Ham Radio gear? Two way radios? You may very well be in a dangerous place and need assistance immediately from the location you have described. Let us know everything we can to make sure we can you help you first then help others second. At least let us have your cell number. We will need to talk after the storm has passed.
Thanks dude and hang tight,
Scriv

Marlon - plan on staging here - We are 13 miles inland - 17ft above sea

as we speak.

OK, so we should plan on being able to stage people and stuff there?

30 miles might be close enough that you'll have no water or power or
much of anything else if the gusts keep topping 200mph.

Who's got alternate locations?

Also, for any potential staging areas how about some gps coordinates?
I'm guessing streets will be hard to find.

Marlon - Lake Arthur, Louisiana - home of apgwireless.com - we'll be just to the east side of the storm when she hits... What a mean bitch this will be. Would love to have ya'll :) I have 3ft thick cement walls surrounded by other buildings with 3ft thick walls LOL

FYI - we have 4000sq ft of empty space to use for staging area / sleeping accomodations / plenty of grub / etc.

Are there any WISPA people left who can jump and run? I got the
impression
that those who could already did and are now already out there... A
lot of
folks have given a lot already, I suspect more than a few are tapped out.

Hi All,

What can we do to get ready for Rita's landfall? I think that now's the time to get teams together and pre plan a few staging areas in the
likely landfall areas.
