If you have Microsoft MapPoint you can convert this way. Open/Import your Excel address spreadsheet inside MapPoint.
However, I seem to remember having an issue of getting the lat/long back out. I believe that there was some freeware utility to extract the MapPoint data back out of MapPoint.
