Hi,
Grain dust is highly explosive. If you are outside the structure,
mounting an external box you really don't have much to be concerned
with. The risk is in an enclosed area (like the top of the head house).

It was brought to my attention yesterday that some WISPs put tower
sections on grain legs.

How many of you have done this?

mks: I started out on one, had to move due to a long cell phone ptp
link. About ready to go back on one though.
Could you describe the particulars of those installations?
mks: Explosion risk!!!!!! Gotta use GOOD boxes and be VERY careful
about sparks when plugging things in etc. I require that either a
licensed electrician or the elevator owner's people do all work.

Did you have an engineer approve your designs?
mks: Nope. Other than the explosion risk, there's nothing really
special about them.
