We are back in business. Thanks everyone for your concern. The last several days were pure chaos here in San Diego county. Many of us were evacuated from our homes at 4 am Monday morning as the flames were approaching various neighborhoods. The immediate area where the Trango facility is located was also evacuated. Unfortunately we lost communication to our building and we were not able to get to our facility until this morning to bring our connection back up.
Everything is fine here at Trango - as it turns out the fires did not come too close to our facility. We are back in operation today and will commence shipping this afternoon. So far I have not heard of any Trango employees who lost their homes although many of our neighbors were not so lucky. In my case there were about a dozen homes in my neighborhood that were lost. My house is still standing. We really need to thank the firefighters that saved the majority of our neighborhood. I learned that in my area yesterday were fire departments from Compton, Downy, Vernon, Montibello (from the LA area).. Also the Marines and Coast Guard were doing area drops. We have a small staff that has arrived here at the Trango faclity. Many of our employees are busy taking care of their families as there are many of us still evacuated from our homes. We at Trango learned something from this experience and that is to practice what we preach with regards to redundancy in our networks. Thanks again to all who expressed concere. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused to our customers and we are working very hard to get back on track with scheduled shipments and we should be fully staffed and 100% operational by the end of today and going into tomorrow. Our facility is safe from harm, however, the national guard has shut down the roads into Poway and evacuated all the residents in the surrounding area, therefore our office is closed today. We anticipate that the roads will be open tomorrow and business will return to normal. Larry A Weidig wrote: > More than willing to cut them some slack, just curious.
