I'm not sure why the tech sheet on it doesn't mention the true power output, but it is a 2+ watt radio. I was thinking about using a pair for amateur radio applications, where I don't have to stay within the part 15 limits. (but I suppose I'll be able to turn the power down after marveling at the strong signal).
