A few months back we put out an excellent guide on how to obtain the 3.65 license from the FCC. It was authored by a former Alvarion person who is no stranger to the list. DHCP for the CPE broadcast domain is definitely a good idea. We don't require DHCP to manage the network. As in any network an NMS is always a good idea. I have never met a doctor that does not carry a stethoscope. Network visibility, trending, alarming, software updates are all important tasks any operator faces. However, we do not require an NMS right out of the gate. You could migrate to our own NMS called Alvaristar as well as a configuration tool called Alvaricraft. Since we support SNMP you could use your own tools already in place as well. I hope this helps folks.
