They are the same domain.  You probably mean same IP address?

Actually though, according to the RFC's, this is not correct. 
Traditionally, although not these days, www should point to the web site 
but the domain name by itself should point to the mail server.  The 
reasons for this are largely moot now though.  These days the average 
sysadmin points both the domain and the www alias to the web site.  But 
his is not "right" from an RFC standpoint.  I finally caved in myself 
and did this too, since there are so many people out there who don't 
realize that omitting the www may render a blank page.

Then again, most of those same people call any CPE a "modem" which 
really makes me grind my teeth!
