I would not compare Ruckus to Ubiquiti and Engenius. That is like comparing a Bobcat to a full blown Cat bulldozer. Sure they are considered mobile construction equipment to move large piles of heavy scraps but they serve completely different applications.
It is better to compare Ruckus to Cisco, Meru, Aruba ect... When looking at the commercial grade products, Ruckus blows the competition out of the water. You can put together a low cost solution together with Engenius and Ubiquiti but support can be a nightmare and you will need to install, maintain and configure FAR more access points per square foot. Ruckus is a commercial grade product for commercial applications. When you look at that price point, Ruckus uses less APs and comes in much lower than the others. -Jeff Convergence Technologies "There is a difference" -----Original Message----- From: wireless-boun...@wispa.org [mailto:wireless-boun...@wispa.org] On Behalf Of Josh Luthman Sent: Monday, May 24, 2010 11:27 AM To: WISPA General List Subject: Re: [WISPA] Good reliable b/g/n inside AP Ruckus is way more expensive then Engenius or Ubiquiti. I think the cheapest thing they have is ~$300. Gets pretty steep.
