I've got an Acer mini for the field. Best tool I ever got. 6 cell, battery literally last me all day if you use proper energy saving settings. It weighs hardly anything and I stick it in a backpack and hike it up a tower all the time. The only thing I wish it had was an anti-glare screen. Those new glossy screens suck on sunny days.
