Not sure if it's appropriate to post help wanted stuff on the list, but I'm looking for a "tower guy". Basically someone to take care of the day-to-day tasks and maintenance of our wireless network infrastructure. New tower site installations, troubleshooting issues on existing stuff, etc. We have several full time installers who take care of installations and repairs at subscriber locations. If anyone knows of someone who fits the bill, please pass on the info and send 'em my way. Here is what I'm posting to local job listings: Wireless Infrastructure Technician job description: Maintenance of CTI's wireless network infrastructure for our wireless Internet service. Installation and maintenance of wireless equipment at POP sites including communication towers, grain elevators, water towers, etc. Must be willing and able to climb those sites to heights of 300' or more. Previous Wireless Internet experience required or at least a background in radio frequency communications. Company provides cell phone, vehicle, tools, and safety gear. Tasks include (but not limited to) configuration and installation of equipment, antennas, and cabling at new tower sites and upgrading existing ones. Troubleshooting issues at existing tower sites, such as lightning, water, interference, traffic, virus, and bad equipment issues. Installation and troubleshooting of customer premise equipment at customer's locations. Compensation - Pay up to $20/hour based on experience. Paid health insurance for employee.
