We have drilled holes for 1/2" carriage bolts through skin and frame angle
steel which is used to mount 1' standoffs to hold a 2" x 10' gal. sch 40
pole. In a case where we mounted several radios, we added another 10' pole
which was embedded into the ground to take off weight. We then mounted (2)
1/2" double clamps which allow us to install a drop down pole, getting up
another 10', but making it fairly easily to drop to roof line for repairs.
