I'm not very technical so please bear with me. We have cable
internet and a Linksys router. My husband's linksys card works
just fine for his laptop, but my new laptop has an internal wireless
card. I have had nothing but trouble and am considering taking the
computer back. I keep losing my access while I'm working and have
to stop and get logged back on, yada yada. I have talked to Toshiba
(laptop makers) twice, and Linksys once. Next I plan to call
Comcast. Can anyone help me? We have reinstalled the wireless
card's driver, we have entered and reentered the WEP keys for the
router, and we have done the ipconfig command twice. Now, when I
try to get on, I get there, but it keeps kicking me off. I can
remember something similar happening when we first got the router
with our desktop, but it seemed to stop when we added the Symantec
firewall. Linksys says not to use any other firewalls because the
router has one-- but if it is going to kick me off every five
minutes????

ANy thoughts?
