Hi, Yes, the desktop file in root is probably used for other packaging purposes as well. I haven't looked into The desktop file standards stuff to know what is current practice, what is old, and what is supported on the Various platforms. Anyone a pointer to where this stuff is defined?

The only additional thing is: Icon=hi48-app-wireshark.png They also seem to feel a need to provide an absolute path to the executable. The standard doesn't state whether 'Exec' is required to provide an absolute path. I'm not sure but I don't think we should provide an absolute path, or if so, then do this via the configure mechanism. Providing an Icon might be of general interest though. Ciao Joerg -- Joerg Mayer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that works.
