Hey dev team, I wrote a dissector for PFSYNCv5 just out of curiosity to see what OPNsense is doing between the boxes.
Is there any interest in having the code merged before I throw it away? The dissector is not 100% complete and the main point is that PFSYNC is - let's say - a very varying protocol without standardization. The wire format differs between OpenBSD and OPNsense and even OPNsense itself has different versions. So, there is enough room for enhancements which will cost a lot of time, and I don't know if it will ever be possible to have a 'universal' dissector for any version flavor. I guess it will be hard to maintain it over time... I just want to know if there is a common interest or if I should throw hours of work into the trash.
