Thanks for the quick reply.  I saw that bug report and wanted to make 
sure I had understood correctly.  I also wanted to make sure that this 
was the current state of affairs.  It sounds like it is and I need to 
either install those un-official binaries or hold my breath for Apple to 
release a new X11 package.  =)
