RIM Tool atau Quincy ade pd OS Blackberry 4.2 keatas, package biasanye diatas 5.0 keatas. Setiap kita download package installer official terbaru dari RIM maka didalamnye ade program RIM Tool atau Quincy. Tool ini gunanye untuk melakukan report ke server RIM melalui email otomatis ke ....qui...@rim.net (titik2 bisa terisi dng huruf2 berbeda), hampir semua aktifitas device akan dilaporkan ke RIM. Hampir dipastikan bahwa tool ini juga memonitor keabsahan dari device/PIN kita. So berhati2lah buat elu2 semua yang melakukan upgrade OS BB, mulailah jadi orang parno..... Cara ngilanginnye adalah sewaktu elu install itu OS kedalem PC maka seabis install pergi ke Control Panel/Add Remove Program (WinXP) atau Control Panel/Program & Features (Win7/Vista), liat disono ade nggak RIM tool ato Quincy ato program2 yg mencurigakan dr RIM disono selaen OS yg mo kita install. Kalo ade maka un-install aje deh. Bisa juga dengan cara masuk kedalam Windows Explorer trus ke C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/RIMInternalTools-4.5.0.44/Java/ cut & paste program2 dibawah ke folder laen di direktori laen: net_rim_batterylog net_rim_bugreport net_rim_quincy net_rim_quincy_ui net_rim_quincy_config_std net_rim_quincy_reports_new net_rim_quincy_speech_icon Konek device lewat Desktop Manager, trus klik Application Loader dan cek apakah ade program2 diatas itu, kalo nggak ade maka update OS device kita, beres. Cara laennye adalah download OS lewat forum2 BB yg tersebar banyak di-internet, biasanye ade yg posting installer yg udeh dibersihin dari racun RIM itu. Biasanye ade deskripsi yg menyatakan "Without RIM Internal Tool" Cara laennye lagi ya isntall OS hybrid dari sekian banyak mahaguru2 BB maniak yg bikin OS hybrid di Internet. Misalnye dr Lyricidal, irtehun, Xonz, OneOfaKindDPC, Gabriels dll masih banyak lagi. Biasanye mereka udeh ilangin itu tool setan dr RIM.... :-B Selaen itu elu juga bisa download tool utk BB yg bagus seperti: BBSAK, BlackBerry Master Control Program, Shrink-A-OS. Dengan BBSAK kita bisa wipe device, install OS, Backup, Kill Process dll. Dengan BlackBerry Master Control Program kita bisa liat banyak hal Dengan Shrink-A-OS kita bisa hapus file2 OS yg kita tdk mau utk mengurangi beban memori, spt language files dll....
