There is a proxy server running at the school where my Staff Registration
application just went live.
The testing protocol was not followed so there were never a lot of
simultaneous users.
Now that we are live user variables are getting scrambled so someone logs on
and gets there records but then in the process of registration it picks up
some other user variables and starts using them.
The setup there
Windows 2000 Server SP1
SQL 2000
WiTango Sp1
The proxy server is IISA
The inside address is pointing to the outside IP which resolves to the
machine.
With the inside IP resolving to the machine the "cache" problem was
consistent. With the resolving as we currently have it problem is
intermittent.
I have a random number generator in each href so besides the
<@USERREFERANCEARGUMENT> it also passes a random number nc=xxxxxx.
Still the problem shows up sometimes.
As we speak IT there is trying to configure the proxy server with a new rule
that will exclude the IP address for this site but he is winging it.
Any other things I can do?
I have one header file for the whole site so it is easy to put something in
there.
