I have my Tango 3.0 manual and New Meta Tags in 3.6 document in front of me. Scott is partially correct, the <@THROWERROR> and <@CLEARERROR> tags weren't available in 3.6 but the <@ERRORS> loop tags were available and you did have Error Attributes for most actions which could be modified. You also had a modifiable error.htx file that would handle all error messages.
Depending on the amount of data in the mail messages (and the database server being used), Scott's idea to write, mail, delete on success would be a good one. I wouldn't use it with a FileMaker solution. Hope this helps, Steve Smith Oakbridge Information Solutions Office: (519) 624-4388 GTA: (416) 606-3885 Fax: (519) 624-3353 Cell: (416) 606-3885 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web: http://www.oakbridge.ca > -----Original Message----- > From: Scott Cadillac [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: March 20, 2003 1:35 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: Witango-Talk: Trapping for <@errors - Mac T3.6 prior to > Witango 5 > > > Hi Michael, > > I could be wrong, but I don't think the <@ERRORS> Metatags were introduced > until Tango 2000 and <@THROWERROR> and <@CLEARERROR> until SP1. > > I might suggest automatically saving the data before the email, then only > deleting it after a successful send - that way, if any data is > found during > a later process, it then needs to be re-sent. > > Hope this helps.
