OK, if that's the case, but that was not my understanding. I read the following from the users manual and this was the way I thought it should work:
Criteria Separators To group criteria, select the position between the criteria you want to group and do either of the following: Choose the Insert Criteria Separator command from the Edit menu. Right-click and choose Insert Criteria Separator from the context-sensitive menu that appears. Only the logical operator cell can be edited for separator items. What Witango seems to be giving me is: Selection Set 1 and Selection Set 2 and Selection Set 3 and Selection Set 4 and Selection Set 5 or Selection Set 6 which is not the same logic at all. Am I missing something? Shouldn't I be able to do this without using a direct DBMS action? Thanks for your help!
