Hi Francis, I've run the test on my installation (under Windows) with both IE6 and FireFox 0.9 without problems when posting accentuated characters.
It may come from the Macintosh version of the server or (wich may be probable too) from the browser you use. Did you have tried with another browser and/or on another platform? Hope this helps.
