Hello, as for a chat client for java, I've got some names in my mind a while ago but have lost them, was about Simple Message Exchanging or such kind of things...
So I think the most reliable way will be to use a set of tools that use http://www.jxta.org/ or diving into jxta. Thus said, I'm not a java developper at this time and could'nt help you further. As for the video and p2p service there will be some well designed open source project that will be useable for direct integration. "Just my 2 cents" :-) Gauthier ----- Original Message ----- From: Rick Sanders To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, July 09, 2004 7:40 PM Subject: Re: Witango-Talk: [OFF] P2P Video Hi Roland, Well, I need to be the video server. The WiTango site needs to control the connections and keep track of users. So far, I've come to realize that I'll need to develop a chat client in java, and buy a codec. Then, tie it into the application on the back-end. Thanks for your reply, Rick Sanders ----- Original Message ----- From: Roland Dumas To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, July 09, 2004 11:38 AM Subject: Re: Witango-Talk: [OFF] P2P Video after MM, you might think of just using AIM or one of the common video chat services that would pop up in a frame or something. Then you wouldn't have to be the video server yourself. On Jul 9, 2004, at 8:04 AM, Rick Sanders wrote: Hey list, I'm building a dating site in WiTango naturally! I need to find an object or java bean, servlet, or something for video P2P chat. If anyone knows a resource, or what I can use (Not Macromedia) I would be grateful. Please feel free to contact me off the list if necessary. Rick Sanders _____________________________________________________________________ Envie de discuter en "live" avec vos amis ?
