Sure,
the newest System X supports all of them, G3, G4, G5 and the Intel.
It will install the needed Parts of it.

For those of you in the know,
I am considering an attempt to install Mac OS X as a VMWare virtual
machine, as a test environment for my apps with Safari and other
Mac-based browsers. There are several unofficial instructions on
how to do this, with a bit of searching.
My question is: Does the latest version of OS X automatically
support Intel, or do I need a special version?

When I click on the link to buy, the hardware requirements simply
says "PowerPC G5, G4 or G3 processor".
Any insight would be helpful, thanks.
