Hey Scott,
Actually I run several Windows 2003 servers and only had a problem on one machine. The others are fine running both ASP.net, WiTango, ASP, and FrontPage and I never removed the header either. However, from time to time for no reason at all, the Front page extensions will just stop working and the files become corrupt. I have to uninstall and re-install the extensions and it works fine. Throw Sharepoint into it and you've really got a messy situation! So, I have one server for ASP.net, ASP & Frontpage, 2 WiTango servers, and a database server. All runs fine. Hi Rick, Maybe it's something to do with Frontpage Extensions, or something else. I've been working with ASP.NET since it was beta, and with various versions of tango/Witango on the same machine and have never had problems like this (during development or release production). And I've never removed that HTTP header in IIS. Frontpage is an optional install component used to aid Visual Studio .NET 2002 & 2003 development, but is not required to run ASP.NET in final production. And because Frontpage is optional for development, I've never used it. So that could be the difference. Hope that helps. If you're not hosting .NET websites, then remove the reference to ASP.net in the http header in the website options. The ASP.net web services & front page extensions services start before the WiTango service, therefore the WiTango server didn't work. But, when you restarted the services, it worked fine. If you're hosting asp.net websites, then it's time to get a dedicated machine for WiTango. From: WebDude [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: February-12-07 1:45 PM To: witango-talk@witango.com Subject: RE: Witango-Talk: Help Please!!!! Well... That was very strange. I looked in the events log as you suggested... everything looked perfectly normal right down to "started accepting user requests." Out of desperation, I stopped all web services - WWW publishing, FTP publishing, IIS ADMIN and then restarted all the services. BINGO - up and running... talk about your panic attack. I am not sure what happened. I installed the .net framework last week with no errors. This morning I come in and see a security update and decided it would be prudent to apply. Required a reboot. When the server went back online, I could not display any taf file. Restarting the services seemed to have done the trick. Now my only concern is why? Anyone else? Hey Dude, Have you checked what the events file in the Configuration folder says? Just a thought. Hope this helps.
