Steve,
First off, PSKILL should work as it has in the past. Not sure if this helps but if you copied and pasted into your email below, the trailing double quote is actually ” and not " which could explain why the error is giving you an odd character on the end of the process name. Robert From: Fogelson, Steve [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, September 21, 2011 6:05 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Witango-Talk: Windows 2008 - TeraScribe I know that Robert’s goal is to make TeraScribe bulletproof. But I’m a pretty cautious guy. Back in the days when we were trying to use another DB with Witango, we had a lot of trouble with the Witango service locking up because of ODBC issues with the DB. I got a “heartbeat” strategy from another person trying to use that DB. I have moved on to MySQL, but I still use the “Strategy” and it sometimes restarts the Witango service. A couple of the .bat files include the following NET STOP "TeraScript Server 6-3" NET START "TeraScript Server 6-3" PSKILL "TeraScript Server 6-3” NET STOP AND NET START work fin, but PSKILL does not work. It gives me the following. Unable to kill process TeraScript Server 6-3ö: Process does not exist. Do you know how to determine what the “process name” is? I tried Task manager and it shows “TeraScript Server 6-3” Thanks Steve Fogelson _____ To unsubscribe from this list, please send an email to [email protected] with "unsubscribe witango-talk" in the body. ---------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, please send an email to [email protected] with "unsubscribe witango-talk" in the body.
