Koen, We have also noticed this issue when using blocking dialogs in fastcgi. They block everything, including new sessions. We converted our dialogs to use show/hide, which seems to work and also be a better implementation.. Just FYI.

Indeed. The gateway (which is in fact a simple relay that targets the request to the correct session process), is not multi-threaded, but can easily be made so.
