Unfortunately, the platform-specific notes suffer indeed of
inconsistencies because Wt's build procedure has evolved, and for
ubuntu Wt has been packaged in the mean time (by Pau).

Those instructions are indeed fairly correct for building from source
on any (Unix-like) platform. Best thing to do would be to update the
wiki to simply link there. These are being actively maintained with
every new release (unlike the wiki).
