Good news! It is the CSS file that triggers the bad behavior, I can
now reproduce it.

And I also found the reason: you are not allowed to set borders on the
table and its cells/rows used by WGridLayout. Perhaps this could be
fixed (if IE does not give too many problems), but since it is not
documented that WGridLayout uses a HTML table (and sjjjt don't tell
anyone), this is in any case not an advisable thing to do ?
