It is no longer a major problem, but still it doesn't work very well.
Using the progressive bootstrap procedure, you can now use Adsense ads
if you display them (e.g. using WText) in your first application page.

However, since only very recently, Google never allowed Adsense ads to
be rotated using a JavaScript API. Therefore, once an ad is displayed
in your Wt application, you have no way to change it, even if you are
changing the internal path. This is a general problem with Adsense an
AJAX applications.

Today there is something called 'AdSense for Ajax'
(http://code.google.com/apis/afa/), but you need to apply to get more
information and be approved to use the API. I just applied for it (to
get the technical information) but no response yet...

The situation is merely a political problem (so I hope!), since the
internal path API, in combination with Wt's ability to generate every
page as a plain HTML page, has all the building blocks Google would
need for displaying relevant ads whenever you change the internal
path, just as for a plain HTML web application.

There's not, actually, but it is of course a good idea to have one.
We'll let our designer make one.

Regards,
koen
