Looking at the code, I notice that this is the case only when the column that is being inserted is the first column ?
I was inserting all the columns in this fashion so I didn't notice that it was only if it was the first column. I added a test case (which confirmed the problem) and also confirmed the fix ! The issue was only for insertColumn(), btw. Thanks for fixing!
