Yes we have actually looked at it and discussed it. Unfortunately, drawPoint() suffers from many issues. One of them is that it is not well defined what it should do. The second is that backends have subtle differences, even differing cross-browser, which make it tedious to get this right. In my opinion, the proper solution is to deprecate and eventually remove the method (or if somebody believes this is an important method to keep -- define it properly and implement it for at least two backends (e.g. Canvas and PNG). > I think important to open a public Git repository to be easier to send > patches. So far, the bottle neck is not infrastructure, but reviewing patches and responding to issues.
