Completely removed Visual Studio and all redists (in fact, everything beginning with "Microsoft Visual").
Ran CCleaner and Glary Utilities to clear up all the registry remainders. Restarted. Downloaded the latest VS2010 Ultimate. Downloaded zlib. Ran the vs2010 from contrib. Followed install guide.
