Hello Aaron, We don't always respond to chat messages, that's true. The chatbox on the mainpage is coupled to the chat example on the examples page, you should see your messages appear there.
The second thing is indeed a bug with the progressive bootstrap mode. We will fix this ASAP. Best regards, Wim.
