All you need to do is create the updated package via the MSI SQL commands, then call MsiDatabaseGenerateTransform to generate the transform. I need to keep very tight control of a particular application, but it also needs to be somewhat customizable and deployable through AD/GPOs. I don't want the customer or our field staff to have to build the necessary transforms, so I'd like to be able to supply them along with a script to apply the desired transform. If I can build the base package and then simply build transform(s) for the 'approved' variations, this would make life much easier.
