Thank you. This works great when I type it in manually in the command line.
But I am using light and candle in a c# app. Like this:
Process light = new Process();
light.StartInfo.FileName = ....WiX toolset\light.exe";
light.StartInfo.Arguments = "\"" + OutputFolder +.....+ \WiXOutput.wixobj" +
"\" " + "-out " + "\"" + OutputFolder + ..... + projectName + ".msi" +
"\" "+ ">build2.log
" + "-ext WixUIExtension -loc " + "\"" + OutputFolder + @"\" + ...
\Language.xml" + "\"";
light.Start();
while (!light.HasExited)
{
Application.DoEvents();
Thread.Sleep(20);
}
When I debug and copy the light.StartInfo.Arguments string and paste it in
the console, it works great. But not when I run my app. like I usually do it
feels like it skips the candle and light process. It does not build anything
and no log file is created... Maybe something to do with ">" char?? Or what
do you think?
Thank you in advance!
