Hey all, I've dropped my custom errors and progress messages in favor of the WixUiExtension errors and progress messages. But... error message 1720 (vbscript error) is a bit lacking. The current message does show the full information available. Could the message be updated to be: <Error Id="1720"><![CDATA[There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Custom action [2] script error [3], [4]: [5] Line [6], Column [7], [8]]]></Error> This shows the custom action that failed, the error message and number and the line/column where the error occurred. This makes debugging VBScript based custom actions much easier. Also... without this change the log file will not contain this information either (argh).
