Bad idea. If user has an application that registered .ico extension (like any picture viewer, ACDSee for example) he'll see icon of that application instead of yours. I would recommend you to create a small empty exe with that icon (or if your main executable is small - use its exe-file) and put it instead of My.ico. ps. Icon for .msi itself is determined by Windows Installer that has msi type registered to itself.
