Yes, that's fine. You can do any type of upgrade/patch if you're just
rev'ing a component's resources.

No. The easiest way to think about it is that a component is immutable
(at least once it's shipped). Adding resources violates component rules.
You'd have to do a major upgrade that completely removes the old product
before installing the new product.

You can add components and features in a minor update as long as you

which MSI uses to support major upgrades automatically.
