First off, I see no evidence to support your claim about an invalid _Validation
table being generated by InstallShield. I perform validation on my packages
and I've never seen an invalid _Validation table. Considering Dark has to
decompile packages generated by many tools, it would be great if Dark could be
more reliable by do something as simple as ignoring the _Validation table
instead of blaming other vendors.
After all, dark is one path for customers of those other vendors to switch
over to your camp. By throwing up a roadblock along that path, WiX is
ultimatly hurting WiX, not the other vendors.
