This isn't a support request. This is simply a thank you note to the WiX devs and community.... My company has just released the latest version of our flagship product (http://www.muvee.com/en/products/reveal/)- which also marks the turning point in our windows deployment methodology.
For over a year I've been porting (from InstallShield) and implementing our new build / packaging infrastructure with WiX - and I have to admit - the journey has been mostly painless. We had a very large backlog of legacy and custom installation requirements which were easy to implement using an installshield / installscript methodology - but also brought a lot of pain in terms of maintenance and support. The state of our system now looks a lot cleaner / manageable and generally - in line with a diagram I saw in Rob's 2005 article in msdn titled "Using the WiX Toolset to Integrate Setup into Your Development Process", So, thank you!
