1. SelfReg is bad. If possible, I'd highly recommend using the built in tables instead.
2. If you didn't create the Merge Module, it's possible it does not include its required actions. In this msm file only got two files(1 xml and 1 dll COM). This msm suppose to install the files in the target machine and registr(regsvr32) the COM dll. I used the following scripts to create the msi. The files get installed in target machine but the COM dll not get register. I try to use the same msm file to create another MSI installer in VS 2005, all files get installed and the COM dll get registered.
