We made this decision so an accidentally deleted report file can be automatically repaired. What version of Crystal are you using? For the redistributable components, we used to use a merge module that was supplied by Crystal. This merge module was not updated with service packs, though, so we ended up making the Crystal DLLs and OCXs integral components within our installation.
