We deliver a few hundred RPT files with our product. We chose to make each
file its own component. We made this decision so an accidentally deleted
report file can be automatically repaired.

What version of Crystal are you using? For the redistributable components,
we used to use a merge module that was supplied by Crystal. This merge
module was not updated with service packs, though, so we ended up making the
Crystal DLLs and OCXs integral components within our installation. They are
all marked as permanent, so we don't remove them and break another
application that might also be depending on them.
