Yeah, the 3rd party software is TortoiseHg. I have a program I need it to use in certain circumstances. I'd think these guys would know not to do this, and since they are so big and so widely used, it would be easier for me just to fix this on my end. I'll have to put a bug report in with them too, but for now, I need to get this going. Thanks for the help... Bruce

The Windows Installer may not make it easy since, IIRC, applications are not supposed to put files there. In this case, you'll have to write a CustomAction or tell the 3rd party to stop doing things that are not recommended.
