Hi,

I use wix3.5 and msbuild in coreXT. There are two wix projects (say A and B)
referencing to a common wixlib project.

When these projects are built in a multi processor machine, it throws
"common.wixlib is used by another process.". I guess the procedure to generate
this error is:

Step 1. A is submitted to processor 1 to build,
Step 2. msbuild knows its dependency Common.wixlib should be built first and
build Common.wixlib.
Step 3. After msbuild builds Common.wixlib, it binplace to the target folder.
Step 4. At the same time of step1, B is submitted to processor 2 to build and
the same thing as step 2 and step 3 happened to processor 2.

So two processors try to binplace common.wixlib to the same target directory,
causing the racing.

How can we resolve this racing?

When people use msbuild to *.csproj projects, they creates a projects.proj to
specify all the projects to be built, which mitigates/resolves the racing in my
observation.

Can I use the same technique - create a wix.proj specifying the wix projects to
be built, to resolve wix project build racing?

Thanks for your guide.
