I haven't looked back to see exactly how long ago this attribute was removed (it exists in wixobj files from v2 but not v3-RTM) what I am wondering is if you are either building against wixobj/wixlib files built previously instead of compiling everything new or if you are saving wixobj files from older builds and attempting to "reuse" them in newer builds.
