Hello Everyone! A general question that might be a bit irrelevant with this mailing list:
I previously tried configuring my whole application through WiX previously, but eventually I realised that This way was not maintainable, since I had lots and lots of custom action, and custom screen etc etc... So I have decided to break the installation into 2 components: -A WiX install where it dumps the files on the machine, and some minor actions like registering Event Logs. -At the end of the installation, launch a configuration tool (an executable), that will guide the user through a set of screens to configure the deployed app. Based on your experience, what are my ideal options for a framework to develop that configuration tool? It would have to do various actions, like verifying sql connections, reserving ports, editing configuration files, etc... My only thoughts up to now is winforms or wpf... Any ideas?
