I have created sample WIX project. It creates Setup file (MSI) as expected when I build WIX Project in Solution Explore. I have provided hardcoded path of my machine to get latest project files to generate latest setup. WIX Tool Set 3.5 X & VS 2008 are installed at my end. All this works perfect at my end. Now I want to integrate my WIX project build process with TFS Server 2008. I want to generate latest WIX setup (MSI) on a every check-in performed by any developer on TFS build server. It should automatically get latest files that got check-in. I have gone through many online help/blogs/documentation however I couldn’t get proper approach to integrate wix build process with TFS 2008. I want to know following details from you. · What changes should I make in Client Installer.wixproj file? · What changes should I make in TFSBuild.proj files? · Do I need to installed WIX tool set on TFS server? (I have copied and check-in WIX toolset binaries on TFS Server 2008 ($/TASProject/TestBranch/Main/wix/3.5.2519.0 & $/TAS/Test/Main/WIXSDK) as per the guidelines provided in one online help and wix documentation to integrate wix with TFS).
