I use heat as a starting point and then clean up the output. SelfRegCost works ok but it calls DllRegisterServer/DllUnRegisterServer which means it can be uncontrolled as you don't know what is happening in those functions, as a replacement for your CA it should be identical. It should work on 64 bit machines.
